PSI with Increase of New Orders and EBITA in 2006

Good start in new year

Berlin, 20 February 2007 – The PSI Group increased its EBIT to 1.0 million euros (2005: 0.15 million euros). This includes 0.5 million euros in restructuring costs. The Group result after interest and taxes also improved to 0.4 million euros after being balanced the previous year. Group sales were at 117.0 million euros (2005: 116.5 million euros). Above all, the segments Electrical Energy, Gas and Oil, Energy Trading and Steel Industry contributed to the result, while the Government Business and Telecommunications had a negative impact.

 

New orders increased by 9 percent to 125 million euros (2005: 115 million euros), so that the book-to-bill ratio improved to 1.07 (2005: 0.99).

 

In January 2007 PSI was able to increase its new orders by another 10 percent over the strong start in 2006. The management is expecting a confirmation of the positive trend and an EBITA of about 0.5 million euros for the first quarter.

 

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for energy management (electricity, gas, oil, water), cross-company production management (steel, machinery, automotive, logistics) and infrastructure management for telecommunications, transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs more than 1,000 persons in the group.
