PSI Wins International Orders in Oil and Gas Market

New orders in first quarter of 2006 increase again

Berlin, 10 April 2006 – Following a successful fourth quarter, PSI AG strongly increased the new orders in the gas and oil market again in the first quarter of 2006. With orders for more than 10 million euros, the gas and oil business had one of the best quarters in its history.

Amongst the orders attained in the first quarter are international projects in Russia, Austria and Kuwait with a total volume of about 6 million euros. PSI won a contract for the OOO Kavkaztransgaz in Stavropol from the Moscow OOO Gazkomplektimpex. With this PSI received its first order directly from the Gazprom Group. OMV Solutions GmbH, Vienna, has charged PSI with the implementation of a complete system for the AGGM Austrian Gas Grid Management AG in Vienna. The system covers the entire spectrum of tasks for the regulatory zone management for the eastern zone for gas-flow control including optimization and balancing energy management in the completely liberalized Austrian gas market. Along with the solution for a balance group manager, grid operator and dealer, this solution is the key system for the Austrian gas market.
From ABB in Genoa, PSI, as part of a European-Kuwaiti consortium under the leadership of the Spanish Tecnicas Reunidas, has been charged with the delivery of a simulation, leakage detection and training system for the natural gas and condensate transportation pipelines of the Kuwait Oil Company in all of Kuwait. With this, PSI has managed to step into the important Arabian market for oil and gas control systems.

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,050 persons in the group. www.psi.de
