PSI Supplies Control System for Dahme-Spreewald Transportation Company PSItraffic for extended region in the Berlin-Brandenburg transportation network

Berlin, 17 February 2005 –PSI has been charged by the Regionale Verkehrsgesellschaft Dahme-Spreewald mbH (RVS) with supplying a new operations control system. As the largest bus transportation company in the Dahme-Spreewald county RVS transports about 6.5 million passengers with over 50 lines over a network totaling 1,790 kilometers. It was just the beginning of 2005 that the operations control system from PSI for four transportation companies in the northeast of Brandenburg officially went into operation.

The RVS order consists of the supply of an operating control system with working places in Mittenwalde, Luckau and Lübben. Along with equipping vehicles and depots with on-board computers and radio LAN, the project also includes main stops with dynamic directional displays and selected stops with online-trip request information systems. The communication is based on the GPRS radio network; the data exchange with other transportation companies is handled by XML standard interfaces using the VDV 453 standard.
