Berlin, 11 January 2005 – The PSI Group increased its new orders in the fourth quarter of 2004 by 17% to 34 million euros (Q4-2003: 29 million euros). In financial year 2004 new orders increased to 126 million euros (2003: 119 million euros). This is the first increase in new orders at PSI since 2000. Cash increased by 5.0 million euros compared to 30 September 2004 and by 1.6 to 18.6 million euros compared to 31 December 2003.
By reducing the number of employees by 50 in the fourth quarter of 2004, the personnel costs will decrease in the current year by 3 million euros. The optimization of rented space performed in 2004 will lower costs by 0.8 million euros per year. PSI is starting the new year with a number of new product offers, amongst them the ERP standard PSIpenta 7.0, the PSA system PSIprofessional and the control systems PSIcontrol V7, PSImcontrol and PSIitcontrol. Management therefore expects a continuation of the positive trend in new orders and an improvement in the result.
PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers.
