The goal of the new organization is to increase capacities as well as to make the capacities more flexible, as well as to take advantage of synergies in sales, research and development. Measures for cost optimization and qualitative and quantitative adjustment within the segments were already introduced in November. The areas of energy (electricity, gas, oil), telecommunication and public transportation are combined in the new segment Network Management. By using synergies they will be able to profit to even a greater degree from the continuing growth from European-wide deregulation.

With the segment Production Management, PSIs traditional target markets of mechanical engineering, automotive, steel and chemistry, have a holistic offer available that contains complete logistic chains from vendors to producers and customers and is based on a joint product.

The Information Management business field uses the growth potential that results from the modernization of administrative processes. The focuses are on applications for increased customer-orientation and public-friendliness.

With the customer-oriented bundling of the strengths and measures initiated PSI plans to increase earning by 50 % in 2002 despite the restrained prognoses for the IT market.
