PSI on the Road to Success Again in the Oil and Gas Market

Large increase of new orders in the fourth quarter

Berlin, 24 January 2006 – PSI AG increased the number of new orders in the oil and gas business by 20 percent to 13.2 million euros in 2005. In the fourth quarter alone a volume of 5.4 million was attained. This figure included orders from E.ON Avacon, E.ON Ruhrgas, Mitgas and OMV Germany.

The systems ordered are based on the new control system generation PSIcontrol V7, the specifications for which were drawn up jointly with major gas and oil suppliers and was launched at the end of 2003. The system provides functionalities for the increasing demands of the liberalized gas market. The first customers put it into around-the-clock operation beginning in the middle of 2004.

With the new orders attained up to the end of the year, PSI has again solidified its position in the German utilities market. As a result of the activities to date, PSI expects a continuation of the positive trend in the international oil and gas market for the first quarter as well.

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of large networks (electricity, gas, oil, telecommunications, transport), cross-company production management (steel, chemicals, machinery, automotive, logistics) and information management for government and service providers. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,050 persons in the group.
